Actual Blogging/Venting

(Warning contains spoilers from A Sword of Storms and Game of Thrones season 3 and a little of season 1 that everyone probably knows about, but be careful just in case.)

Fuck you George R. R. Martin!  Fuck you!  Fuck you to Hell where you will suffer eternal hellfire and damnation.  Ok I know that was uncalled for, but I am so pissed at him (duh).  He killed off Robb and Catelyn within a page off each other.  Catelyn was a good character who had her flaws which did annoy me some but made her a great character.  Robb on the other was one of my four favorite characters, (Ned, Robb, Jon, and Tyrion), and the king I was rooting for.  Long live the King of the North!  Yeah right.  The worst part is he died for the stupidest reason in-universe, He slighted an old man by marrying another woman, when Robb promised to marry one of Frey's thousands of daughters and granddaughters, in the heat of the moment.  First this is so hypocritical because Frey has fucked so many different girls, just look at all his bastards.  Second it was just stupid.  Ok you're not going to be royalty, I'd pissed too I understand, but you still have Riverrun in your pockets AND the King owes you.  Besides that Robb, despite his young age, was arguably the best king.  So to recap; 1. You had Riverrun, 2. You were owed a favor or too from the king, 3. He was the best king and the one that wouldn't instantly kill you right after you got your favor(Lannisters and their always paying debts).  I'm so pissed that after I finished the chapter I couldn't even touch the book.  And I know someone is thinking, "well of course he was going to die A Song of Ice and Fire kills off all of your favorite characters."  Valid point but in my defense I thought that was a meme based all on Ned's shocking death, no one really died in the second book I mean.

Short Version: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!1!1!!1!!!!!

More on the usual stuff.  Uh, me and Virgil are doing fine.  No Slendy or proxies lately excluding an operator symbol drawn on the side of a Walmart.  That's all.

  1. Cersei said "When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die." Everything that happens in the novels has to reflect that. Haven't seen the third season on TV though.

But if I read on to find he kills Jon, Cersei, Arya or Tyrion, I might get my pitchfork, hehe.

    1. Yeah I know and that is a brilliant quote, but it still just urks me.

Really you're a Cersei fan? First one I've ever met. Sure she is smart and knows how to get things out of people, but she is just such a bitch. That said I'll get my pitchfork if Jon or Tyrion dies too.

    2. Yup, she's a badass bitch. I would say she has to be, in that society where they don't think highly of women, so I guess I find the amount of sway she has impressive.

I hate Frey, though. He is a fucking creep weirdo. ><

  2. Yeah, be fair to Frey, that was a viable option. I mean, this way he squares hi debt to the Lannisters and almost guarantees them victory when the northmen have no figurehead to rally behind. So it saves him gambling on Rob's victory.

On the other hand, sumbitch broke hospitality and threw his family under the wagon- no way there wouldn't be people out for revenge, either for breaking the old laws or killing Rob, Arguably the best king.

    1. I realize that Frey does still gets a lot out of this, but my main problem is that in the big picture it's so dumb. The main point comes down to Rob being (arguably) the best king. Currently the two remaining kings are a.) Stannis who while a fair if harsh man is a shell of his former self and b.) Joffery. So Frey fucked the kingdom off until the Mother of Dragons sails to Westeros(if Martin doesn't kill her first.)

    2. On the other hand, Joffrey is a puppet. Quite clearly. And who would you rather have in control; One person, or a whole family? because with a whole family, they have to be careful to keep on the family's good side, or they wake up dead, and the machine continues. With a single ruler? you end up with Mad Lord Snapcase.
Also, George RR Martin hates you personally. And used his time travelling to change the series; originally, there was no Joffrey, Ned didn't get executed and the entire thing was a sitcom.

    3. Believe me I am aware of Joff's puppet status, but there are several issues even then. First is the Lannisters are not the most stable family with them combatting each other for power behind the scenes. Also Joffery isn't the best puppet as proven by Eddard's execution when he was to be sent to the wall. Joff is royally fucked up(excuse the pun) and the kingdom is in trouble once no one is there to lead him. Look at the way he solves his problems and the way he treated Sanna during her time as his fiancé.

And of course he can. George R. R. Martin is a Time Lord after all.

Don't take my bitching the wrong way because it's a compliment. The intended effect was to make the fans angry and tthat's exactly what he did. The problem is that I got too atttched to Robb and well got more angry than I should have. Now I do want to see Game of Thrones as a comedy though.

    4. Read the books. They'll put a smile on your face (sadly, they aren't sitcoms)

    5. *Sansa, not Sanna. That would be fucking terrifying.

      But, in such a case-
The short answer to marrying Joff: "No."
The long answer: "Noooooooooo noooooooooooooooooo noooooooooooooooooo noooooooooooooo nooooooooooooo noooooooo nooooooooooooooooooooooooo nooooooooo nnnoooooooo nnnooooooo."
